People focused on coordination compounds in last few years owing to theirnew topologies and potential application in functional materials, porous MOFs, aswell as molecular recognition. In virtue of special space structure, physicalproperties, chemical properties, especially strong designability, adamantane andtheir derivatives attracted more and more attention. Pyrazinyl oximes, bearingpowerful coordination, many coordination sites, flexible coordinated modes, canbe used in the building of functional materials bridging with metal ion and otherligand. Therefore, a serial of ligands and metal compounds based on adamantaneand pyrazinyl oximes were synthesized and their properties were detected. Someinteresting results were listed as follow:1. Rigid1,3,5,7-tetrakis(4-acryl acid phenyl)adamantane ligand which has notbeen reported was synthesized by multi-step from1-Bromoadamantane andbenzene. Then, it was characterized by IR spectrum and1H-NMR and built inZn substrate which can be applied in corrosion resistant materials forminghydrophobic surface.2. Rigid1,3,5,7-tetrakis(4-acrylamide phenyl)adamantane ligand which has notbeen reported was synthesized by multi-step from1-Bromoadamantane andbenzene. Then, it was characterized by IR spectrum and1H-NMR anddeveloped into electrochemical sensor for analyzing of Cu2+in water.3.-methyl pyrazinyl oxime was synthesized with2-acetyl pyrazine andhydroxylamine hydrochloride as raw materials. Followingly, three newcomplexes were synthesized: Ni(mpkoH)(mpko)NCS].H2O (1),[Co2(mpko)3(NCS)2.CH3CN].H2O (2),[Ag2(mpkoH)2(mpko)2].2CH3CN (3).All above complexes were characterized by IR spectrum,1H-NMR, Elementalanalysis and their structure were confirmed by X-ray diffraction. Theelectronic property of these complexes were studied.
