The solution to the urban environmental pollution and waste of resources causedby garbage has become one of the major challenges of mankind."Harmless, reduction, resource" as a sustainable developing concept has become inevitable trend for thedisposal of municipal solid waste at home and abroad.Based on the above, this article described the status of Huludao municipal wastedisposal and established municipal solid waste disposal system life cycle assessmentmodel, which is fit for Huludao municipal waste disposal system. The model selectedthe sanitary landfill and incineration as the main municipal waste disposal ways. Themodel selected global warming, acidification and eutrophication as the environmentalimpact classifications. For sanitary landfill, this paper studied two scenarios. For the incineration way,Huludao municipal solid waste disposal applied the typical incineration strategies, asmechanical grate incinerator and circulating fluidized bed incinerator.Research showed that sanitary landfill (landfill gas power generation) potentialenvironmental impacts for the three types and the total potential value was advantages. Therefore, sanitary landfill should be a good municipal solid waste program forHuludao city, which are currently in the initial waste disposal stage. Grate furnaceincineration technology can achieve the global warming environmental impact potentialminimum. Using fluidized bed incineration technology, the amount of co-firing of coalwill improve obviously eutrophication and acidification but add the environment burdento the global warming. Compared various programs potential value of the life cycleenvironmental impacts, fluidized bed incineration program achieved better results. Byenergy consumption analysis, adding fuel will reduce the overall energy recoveryefficiency.
