Research On The Shape Control System Of Tandem Hot Mill

Strip shape is one impotent quality index of hot rolling strip product. The strip shape control is executed in finishing mill in2300. The material strip shape control mechanical actuators such as the CVC roll of F1to F7, the profile sensor and flatness sensor and other sensors are installed at certain position though the rolling line. The transfer process control system makes the roller control and optimized and the automation of profile control automation.Through comprehending the shape control system of tandem hot mill in a steel, the core of it——the shape meter and automatic shape control system have been studied:(1) The working principle of the profile sensor and flatness sensor and the symmetric approach of the data based on automated detection have been studied.(2) The steel models of mathematical calculations in level2and the calculation of the gain coefficients always used in level1have been researched.(3) The shape control system of tandem hot mill has been analysised carefully. The shape control system mainly includes the profile control and flatness control. The tension and the strip warpage will change, when the strip goes into the down coiler (DC), so the shape control strategies are different. In this paper, before the strip goes into the DC, the shape control is objectives of crown and flatness compensation control; after the strip goes into the DC, the shape control is automation control.(4) Through analysising of the shape control system of tandem hot mill, the lackings of it have been found. The system can only control the second shape deviation automatically, but the first shape deviation is eliminated though the manual operation of the worker. As to eliminate the first and second shape deviation, a comprehensive shape control method is brought out. After simulation, we can see that the control method is very good.
