The performance of impact wear of three high speed steels was studied at impact energies of2.7J experimental condition. Experiments show that ASP-23high-speed steel power as a result of the original having bone tissue carbide, was the worst performance of impact resistance. Impacting for very short period of time, the sample was failure for being a large piece of brittle loss. Impact wear resistance of W6Mo5Cr4V2is more excellent than that of ASP-23. Experiments show that the crack incubation period of it is quite long, the direction of crack expansion is parallel to the surface and material appeared layer flake off. K340is the most superior impact wear performance of three kinds of high-speed steels. Being loaded impact, its microstructure appeared microbands and had a plastic strain to absorb impact energies. As a result, its resistance of impact wear performance is excellent.Through pin-disc wear tests, trobological and wear properties were obtained under air and oil lubrication conditions seperately. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was employed to examine worn surface after the wear tests.The results show that:(1) Wear mass loss increases with load in air lubrication,(2) Friction coeffient and wear mass loss are reduced by oil lubrication,(3) Friction coefficient of surface layers changes unclearly, compared to untreated surface in the experiments. TiN and Ti(C,N) films show high wear-resistant performance in air lubrication while nitrided surface layer has good resistant wear property in oil lubrication,(4) Adhere wear is predominent in air lubrication, while ploughing becomes main mechanism in oil lubrication.The performance of impact wear of three high speed steels was also studied at workshop condition. The results indicated that ASP-23high-speed steel was the worst performance of impact resistance. The other two materials are better than ASP-23high-speed steel The K340(TiN) and W6Mo5Cr4V2(TiCN) are all suit to "YIJIAO" currency coin. K340(TiN) is the most superior impact wear performance of three kinds of high-speed steels.
