Because of using the method of activated sludge treating water,it will produce large amounts of the sludge, and the sludge will cause serious pollution of environment. n such a context, In order to eliminate surplus sludge’s pollution to the environment,we will crack the sludge with ultrasonic and mechanical experiment. This paper focuses on the research methods of mechanical experiment after ultrasonic. Experimental device is mixer for family.The method is to break5period samples with mechanical after ultrasonic, each group will be broken5times in different period.Then we will test25samples,and inspect the effect of breaking. The principle is that the blade of the mixer make fluid move, the fluid of high-speed moving will produce tremendous shearing force, instantaneous voltage and impact.They will break bacteria and cells.lt will make cytoplasm outflow to break the sludge. The test items include SCOD, TN, TP, PH and nucleic acid test,and scan sludge with microscope,and scan the individual cells with electron microscopic,and finally analyze the particle diameter.Experimental results show that through the method of crack sludge machine has good crack effect. Sludge broken rate with mechanical is better than that with ultrasound. Concentration of SCOD,TN,TP and nucleic acid increased significantly and regularly. Because acid substance in the sludge increace,PH also decrease along with time. Sludge were scattered into small particle by microscope,and cells change from full to dry by electrometry microscopy,so cell walls are broken in the breaking process.The particle of sludge also change smaller in particle test.Predictably, ultrasonic and mechanical meyhod together can break the sludge better. Mechanical methods rely on huge fluid shear force and high pressure to break the sludge.
