| In the high-speed wire, the way to the heat treatment after rolling has air cooling,water cooling, lead bath and so on, of which the most widely used and most representativeis Stelmor air-cooled line. In2010, the first cooling lines of hot water bath in our countrycomplete a production test successfully, and the good cooling performance and theoutstanding product quality have not only satisfied the home to the high-quality goodsaltitude demand, but also favors the downstream user to reduce the cost and theenvironmental pollution, which has filled the domestic blank of the online water-bathstrong processing technology in the high-speed wire.This paper studies the cooling process in the hot-water bath, namely carries on thefinite element simulation to the temperature of the wire-rod which is cooling in thehot-water bath. In this paper, analysis the heat transfer process of cooling in hot-waterbath according to the three forms of the heat transfer, a mathematical model is built withtaking the thermal conductive law and heat conduction differential equation, and makesure the initial condition and boundary conditions of the whole cooling process on thebasis of analyzing the definite solution conditions.It determines the size of the heattransfer coefficient according to the theoretical knowledge of the boiling heat transfer.Using the finite element analysis software ANSYS10.0and the measurement data, thepaper simulates the cross-section temperature field of the high-speed wire at the non-lapand lap points,results that the simulation results with the measured values are consistent atthe non-lap point, the simulation results is18℃~28℃higher than the measured value atthe lap point.By comparing the simulation of the wire’s temperature drop in air under the sameconditions, the experimental results indicate that the temperature drop in air is46℃lowerthan that in hot water bath, obviously the hot-water bath’s evaporation efficiency is higher. |
