Coal is the main for China’s energy structure,it is non-renewable energy. As the reduce ofcoal resources, how to security and efficient prevent gas outburst, it has became a problems ofmany companies.Therefore, the research on lower protective seam, for the safe, preventing gas outburst, andreducing of the waste resources、extending the mine life and protect social stability hasimportant implications.This paper is based on lower protective seam, using theoretical analysis、numericalcalculation, and other means and methods of coal mining under the protective layer activitypatterns of rock, overburden movement and deformation, and on coal mining under the impact ofspatial and temporal relations. Determine the mining height, spacing, lithology and layerstructure, the protective layer under the influence of the factors and their combined effects ofmining, for the realization of security provided under the protection layer mining methodsguidance and technical support. For Xima mining under the successful practice of the protectivelayer, draw the minimum recoverable under the protective layer spacing. Based on the findingsand analysis experience, it has provide experience and basis on the research of lower protectiveseam for the future.
