Water is not only the source of life but also the lifeline of development socio-economic.Water,land and the energy constituted the basic conditions of human economic and social development. With the growth of population and economy, the demand for water resources in the world is increasing and the water environment is deteriorated. The shortage of water resources has become a global issue.Therefore,we must control the water pollution and protect of water resources.And accelerated water pollution treatment and sewage resources.Achieved the sustainable use of water resources.Prevent and avoid water crisis had become the common task of all mankind.With the rapid development of China’s steel industry, the matching coking scale expands unprecedentedly which caused serious pollution to the environment. Coking industry access conditions expressly provided the wastewater of coking industry shall not efflux.Reused after advanced treatment has become the most important task to the coking plant wastewater treatment.This paper first introduced the status of iron and steel industry development and the sources of wastewater. Technology and the problems of coking wastewater treatment at home and abroad were reviewed.Design coking wastewater treatment by the AF/BAF and then depth treatment by the MBR and RO technology, used for boiler water treatment process, and the technical and economic feasibility study.It could be used as a boiler water.Discussed the technical and economic feasibility.With the growing strict regulation on the coking wastewater discharge standards, the common biological treatment process has reached the limit. The physico-chemical treatment and advanced treatment are required on the basis of biochemical treatment.The plan selected the immobilized efficient microbial biochemical treatment (AF/BAF) and subsequent depth treatment process.The immobilized efficient microbial treatment process fixed efficient microbial at the carrier in biofilter.Relyed the biofilm to treat wastewater.lt had advantage of high hydraulic load, small occupation area and high removal efficiency.The subsequent depth treatment process reduced the various indicators of the water after biochemical.The treated water reached the quality of pure water.Conformed the standards of reuse water of company. According to the practical operation, the sewage treatment showed that the ammoni volatile phenol, SS, sulfide, cyanide oil removal efficiency reached99%, the CODCr removal efficiency reached98%. All indexs met the pure water standards, and standard wastewater was reused. The advantages of the process are simple operation and high efficiency. The treatment process is feasible in terns of technology and economic aspects.
