With the products replacement more frequently of Machine Tools, the MachineTools with high efficiency and flexibility are a great development direction. Indomestic, the research work about optimized design of Machine Tools is less, and itsperformance is low. In the processing of optimized design of Machine Tools., with itsadvanced R&D model、low-cost and short-period R&D efficiency and a powerfuladvantage of parallel design and manufacturing, VPT has been widely used inmechanical industry during the design process of Machine Tools.In this paper, simulation researches were carried out on CNC Machine Tools fromvarious views with the use of VPT, the results of which would have a guiding role onthe engineering practice. The key points of this article read as follows: based on theextensive reviewing literature, the paper introduces the subject’s background、meaning、the research methods of CNC Machine Tools; the paper also introducesbase theory of virtual prototyping; under the solid work environment, using modelingtechniques and top-down design theory,the paper establishes virtual prototyping ofCNC Turntable Machine Tool, which lay the foundation for the institutionaloptimizations and kinematics simulation analysis; under the Solidworks environment,by using the finite element method, the paper does structural static analysis of theprocessing parts in CNC Turntable Machine Tool,researching the overall structurestress strain under the cutting force and gravity; under the Solidworks environment;based on the modal theory, the paper does modal analyses for the important parts ofCNC Turntable Machine Tool, and getting its first five natural vibration characteristicsand finds its weaknesses; based on the optimization design theory, as the quality ofcontrolling in structure and improving the natural frequency, the paper does someoptimization design for the lathe bed and pillar; based on the agency and coordinatetransformation of homogeneous, the paper establishes the kinematic model of thecomplex processing parts in CNC Turntable Machine Tool, does some kinematic simulations under the Solidworks motion environment.
