The forging technology of the large forgings is one of the important symbols to evaluate the industry level and the defense capabilities of a country. Although the domestic forging equipments catch up with the advanced world levels, but there still exists a big gap in forgings measurement and quality control techniques among foreign developed countries. Some key technologies of measurement and quality control are researched in this paper. This paper has mainly completed the following researching tasks:First of all, a large forgings measurement and quality control system is built which mainly includes the large forging auxiliary measurement system, the data collecting system during the forging process of the large forgings and the information collecting system of process chart of the large forgings.Secondly, the large forging auxiliary measurement system is developed and the methods to measure the long-axis and tube-shaped heavy forging are provided. Do error analysis mainly with the auxiliary measurement system. The sources of error and infection degree are analyzed to provide grounds for improving the accuracy, stability and reliability of the measurement system. In addition, data during the forging process is collected with the technique of the ADO/WinCCOLEDB. The information in the costumed DWG format process card is collected with the tool of the DWGDirectX.Finally, a data acquisition and application system is developed based on the Visual C++2005platform. This system has the following functions, such as open DWG format file without AutoCAD than extract information from it, collect data from forging equipment and measurement equipment and so on. What’s more, the feasibility of the data acquisition and application system is verified by the test of a typical axial forging.
