Synthesis Of Beta Zeolite By The Addition Of Seeds

Beta zeolite catalyst is always used to chemical industry. Beta zeolite is mainly synthesized by traditional hydrothermal crystallization method, which lead to high cost and serious environmental pollution. Those problems will be solved by developing new methods.Beta zeolite was first synthesized by the addition of seeds:when10%crystal was introduced (compared with the total mass of silicic source), crystallization temperature was140℃, crystallization time was24h. The crystallinity and yield of crystallization product was55%and58%respectively. Then Beta zeolite was synthesized by the addition of seeds and TEAOH:when10%crystal was introduced (compared with the total mass of silicic source), crystallization time was48h. The crystallinity and yield of crystallization product is110%and83%respectively. The amount of template was reduced by50percent. The crystallization products were characterized by XRD and BET.
