The production of heavy forgings was the basic of heavy manufacturing, but there wasn’tany suitable method to solve the problem of “fat” which appeared during the survey of heavyforgings’ dimensions. Associating with the Major projects of the State—“Key Technologies ofHot Heavy High-Temperature Forging Online Inspection”during the Eleventh Five Year Plan,the paper put forward to apply industry photogrammetry based on ternate CCDs to the rapidinspection of heavy high-temperature forgings’ dimensions, researched main key technologies,and aimed at direct workers in smithing.The paper introduced the sorts of main three hardwares detailed, correlative parameters, thesuitable cases fitting to use, each advantages and disadvantages. Took the hot forging surveysystem as an example, caculated parameters of hardwares, then chose the final hardwares.Based on the special condition, green laser points were chosen to be artifical target in theindustry photogrammetry. After introducing some sorts of artifical targets simplly, the papersummarized the charactors and advantages of laser points, and methods to recongnize artificaltargets and location. To deal with the pictures, the paper used Canny algorithm and square grayweighted to locate the center of targets, and the experiments validated the method feasibility andvalidity.The paper put forward to make an improvement in matching homologous image pointsaccording to the special condition, turned out to be a high matching rate, provided necessaryguarantee for system accuracy.Associating with the task, the paper explored a theory system for hot heavy hightemperature forging based on ternate CCDs,introduced the design of the system, integration ofhardwares, application of each part of software and so on.After experiments in the workshop, the system that was explored by the paper could fulfilmanufacture requirement.
