In the21st century, with the people environmental protection consciousness improving and oil resource exhaustion dangerous approaching, seeking the renewable and environmental resources has become one of the modern industrial development direction. Among these materials, the PLA fiber which has realized industrialization at the end of the1990s is undoubtedly the most potential one. PLA fiber not only has the characteristics of environmental protection textiles, but also has some excellent performance characteristics. It has good prospects for development in wearing and industrial textile areas, and will become the leading product of fiber application in the future. PLA fiber is a renewable com, cassava and other starch raw material, lactic acid fermentation to take, and thenpolymerized into resin by spinning into fibers, also known as com fiber. Poly lactic acid fiber is a new generation of environmentally friendly fibers, it is completely biodegradable, it has good drape, excellent heat resistance and it has the UV resistance function.In this thesis, on the basis of understanding of PLA fiber physical and chemical properties as well as the core yarn process, the researchers developed a PLA fiber core yarn spinning process, try spinning the four kinds of PLA core-spun yarn, and by the orthogonal experiment to find the best solution for each core yarn which be used to make into several fabrics with different specifications, organization or yarn. We test and compare the properties of these PLA fabrics, mainly selected ten indicators for testing from the comfortable performance, appearance performance and mechanical properties three aspects. Finally, we selected two kinds of knitted fabrics to test them in KES properties. Then the paper draw the conclusion that how the factors such as raw materials, yarn structure, fabric structure, specification and so on effect the fabric performances.The experimental results show that the best solution for the PLA/PLA core yarn (14.8tex+55dtex):twist of950twists/m, the posterior region of drafting a multiple of1.30times, spindle speed of11,000r/min.PLA/Spandex Core (14.8tex+44dtex.), The best solution:twist1180twist/m, the posterior region of drafting a multiple of1.30times, the pre-drafting ratio is2.94,and the spindle speed is about10000r/min.The optimum program of the PLA/spandex yarn (36.9tex+77dtex) as follows:the twist of680twists/m, the posterior region of drafting a multiple of1.30times, the pre-drafting ratio is3.91,and the spindle speed is about8000r/min.The silk/PLA filament core yarn (14.8tex+55dtex.), The best solution:the twist of920twists/m, the posterior region of drafting a multiple of1.35times, spindle speed of8000r/min.Research shows that different PLA core yam fabric have different characteristics. Fabric bursting strength, drape and good insulation, but there is also a problem that PLA fiber easily produce static electricity, piling resistance have also been affected. Since the PLA filament is used as the frame of silk covering yarn,and the silk covers the filament,the covering yarn not only has the property of moisture absorbeney and ventilation as the silk does,but also has the property of being rigid and stiff,and shape keeping as the filament does.Silk/PLA covering yarn is a new product. Pure PLA woven fabric has fine overall performance by study and analysis, has the advantages of skin-friendly, breathable, guided moisture, especially for the development of summer fabrics. And pure PLA knitted fabric is suitable for warrn clothing. PLA core yarn and viscose blended fabrics are suitable for shirts. PLA/spandex yarn fabrics are suitable for sportswear.
