With the linkage of the steel market between our country and the international community, the competition becomes more and more serious, the steel industry aims at producing high quality added value products. In the process of hot rolling, the surface of the steel product forms a thick and compact layer of iron oxide scale due to being heated in the heating furnace, so before further working, the iron oxide scale must be cleared away, otherwise the remaining iron oxide scale will be pressed into the steel products by the roll, which will make defects in the surface of steel products and badly affect the quality of the products. The action of the high-pressure water descaling system is to get rid of the iron oxide skins in the surface of steel surface, but its complicated design and various combination mode brings the difficulties to the designers. Meanwhile, the pressure of the high-pressure water descaling system is too high, if design the pipe improperly, it is very easy to appear the problem of water hamming, which seriously damage the safety of equipment.This thesis use Visual Basic6.0and MATLAB mixed programming to develop the software. Based on the research on the combination mode of high-pressure water descaling system and the design for the arrangement in detail, take advantage of Visual Basic6.0’s excellent ability of interface design to program the interface of user’s options and data input in high-pressure water descaling system; meanwhile, build the computing model of the pipe water hamming by characteristics lines in the process of water power transient and solve the problem of pipe water hamming in high-pressure water descaling system using the powerful function of numerical computation of MATLAB which brings the clear and lively computation result to the designers without their computation by hand. This design solves the problem of weak computation ability in Visual Basic6.0and makes up the defect in making interface by MATLAB, which combination them together efficiently.This thesis takes an example of the high-pressure water descaling system in a steel industry to make choices in major parts, such as high-press pump and nozzle, make reasonable arrangement for nozzle, judge whether the hitting power of descaling can satisfy the user’s need, compute the pipe water hamming and verify the rationality of the pipe’s design. Also, thesis analyze the change of pipe water hamming when modify the parameters, such as pipe and accumulator.
