In order to reduce the underground gas accidents, on the basis of analyzing the gas storage condition of Hegang District, it uses the method of the ground drainage to get the gas from the underground to reduce the gas contents of the coal seam, which radically reduces the emission quantity of the gas and the occurrences of the gas accidents. In the Niaoshan Mine of Hegang District, the practices of the First Well of He Mine provide the experience of the draining gas before coal mining for other mining areas to put the ground well into effect and it also gets the data which lay the foundation for the following scheme and construction design of the ground well. The analysis has proved that it is available to drain the gas by using the ground well, which provides the technique guarantee for the gas control and the establishment of the safe-efficient mines. It also gets the effective way of the ground gas drainage of its own district, which gives the direction of other mining areas’ constructions and productions. On the contrast of the economic benefits and the social benefits, the establishment of the ground well could get a better effect. The gas drainage of the ground well could solve the influences of production restriction and the over-limited gas of the coal face and it could also reduce the roadway engineering quantity of the coal face to create conditions for the production.
