As the modern cutting has developed towards a high-speed heavy cutting,ultra-precision and high automatic direction, the requirement of the cutting forcemonitoring is also higher than ever before. However,Measuring cutting force in a highdegree of automation equipment which cutting the workpiece will influence thecharacteristics of the machine, especially for high-precision CNC machine. In order tomaintain High automation equipment’s excellent features in cutting force dataacquisition, this paper has been studied and improved cutting force data acquisition andtransmission.Based on cutting dynamometer design requirements and the piezoelectric crystalsensor,the paper has designed and completed a set of cutting force wireless datatransmission system. As the wireless technology used in measuring system has becomea trend, the use of wireless transmission technology effectively avoid many problemswitch caused by cable. To ensure real-time acquisition conveniently and efficiently. Thefollowing introduces concrete research tasks:First, design the plan of the system. Cutting force measurement system acquiresvoltage signal from piezoelectric crystal sensor, the paper uses STC12L5608AD ascontrol module for signal acquisition, AD converter, and control the wireless module totransmit and receive. According to the frequency of acquisition and development ofenvironmental,select nRF24L01chips as its wireless module, the receiver will receiveand transmit the digital signal to the PC by microcontroller, PC-software platform withVisualBasic shows it out in digital and dynamic curves two ways.Second, designing the system’s hardware and software. The paper has designedhardware circuit according to the plan of the system, and Through the program codewhich developed by Keil software to achieve the capability of the system. This systembe functionally divided into MCU signal acquisition system conversion module, wireless data transceiver module, serial transmission module and VB dynamic displaymodule.Finally, As the success of hardware and software debugging, make furtherAcquisition and analysis of the actual cutting force. Be calculated under certain cuttingconditions, cutting forces empirical formula has been obtained. Further verify thecorrectness of the system work, the results show that the data acquisition system hasachived real-time acquisition of cutting force.
