| According to the special requirement that array Infrared-decoy foil (chaff) need good elasticity, tensile and bending properties, the adhesive was preferred and compounded in this research based on traditional IR decoy formula. Also, Infrared radiation and other related parameters were tested and analyzed on the premise of foil (chaff) strength condition.The formula was first optimized, the results showed that the best adhesive content of bait formulations with different particle size fractions was as follows:â‘ Select adhesive â…¡ and adhesive I as the composite adhesive, the optimum mass ratio was al:adhesive â…¡: adhesive â… =7:2:1. This formula had little relationship with the particle size of fractions which can be neglected.â‘¡Select adhesiveâ…¢ as adhesive, the adhesiveâ…¢/curing agent content in the formula had great influence with particle size. The role between them was that the content of the adhesive was decreased as the reduction of component size in the pyrotechnic composition.â‘¢Slect PTFE as the pyrotechnic composition, in which PTFE was not only a high energy oxidizers, but also can be used as adhesive, thus the extensibility and flexibility of products were increased. Experiment results showed that the optimum ratio was mPTFE:mMg-3:7, m (PTFE+Mg):m (adhcsivcâ…¢/curingagcnt)=7:3.The infrared radiation properties of Optimization of the bait formula were studied. In the research, we not only explored the radiation properties of pyrotechnic composition with different adhesives, but also compared the effect of particle size on the properties, it come to the conclusion that the smaller the particle size was, the larger specific surface would be. Also, the chemical combustion speed and the mass flow rate would increase as the reduction of the particle size of combustible agent and oxidizer which improve the flame temperature, so that the infrared radiation intensity and the total radiant energy could be improved. |
