The development of tobacco machinery of our country were severely limited bythe key tobacco machinery technology imported from abroad, though greatdevelopment has been achieved in recent years. The basic principles, theory and thekey of technology of the Pivot Rotary Supporting Device(PRSD), the Crank RodSupporting Device(CRSD) and the Spider Claw Supporting Device(SCSD) wereresearched. The advantages and disadvantages of the cigarette supporting device wereanalyzed.The Pivot Rotary Supporting Device which consist of pivot, link and ledger wasdesigned. The basic parameters, the mechanism and dynamics of the PRSD wereanalyzed and optimized. Through the multi-objective optimization of the ledgergroove width, the cut torque, deflection and the maximum speed difference of bladeand ledger in axis direction of cigarette were reduced. Also the cutting quality wasimproved. In consideration of the effect design processing error to institutionsdynamic performance, the reasonable device support arrangement plan was proposedand the impact vibration coming from the structure was avoided effectively.The kinematic model of the CRSD was built. The length of the links wereoptimized and the inaccuracy of the results were analyzed. The dynamical balancingof the CRSD were researched by built its rigid-flexible model and the method todesign the balance blocks and the surface of ledger were described.The basic parameters and dynamics of the PRSD were analyzed. The inaccuracy,the width of the ledger and the relationship of the gears of the PRSD were calculated.Finally, advantages and disadvantages of the PRSD, CRSD and SCSD were analyzedand the basis for mechanical design were provided.
