Taking the copper mining area of Sabetaung in Myanmar as a study area in thisdissertation, according to research on its basic situation, hydrogeological andengineering geology characteristics and related data, the result is that hydrogeologytype belong to the type which complexity is higher than the medium level, and it isfilled with fracture weak aquifer. Engineering geology type also belong to the typewhich complexity is higher than the medium level. It maintains stable globally, but ithas the local existence of buckling deformation. On this basis,This research discussedthe effect of hydrogeology and engineering geology conditions on mining process.According to analyse, atmospheric precipitation is the main supply source ofgroundwater and surface water in mining area. The terrain is beneficial to drain thewater; Owing to weak water abundance of ore bearing intrusion,it has impacts ondirect water filling aquifer in mining process. The development of the faults areintersectional. Fault crushed zone has weak water abundance. It has impacts onmining. Most of the ore body lie below the lowest drainage base level(64m).So theriver would bring certain influence for mining. Though the stability evaluation ofslope in the open pit,the results show that soil slope is unstable when the mine beginsexcavating. It is easy to deform and damage. The other soil slope is in a state oftemporary stability~limit equilibrium when excavated. The stability would be brokenin case it is effected by bad factors. Rock slope is in stability according to eventuallymining designed slope angle. It is not easy to damage along the rock angle. Due to theform of cracks and under the bad effect of water.Part of the wedge are unstable andthey might be broken as time goes by. According to compare the sum of water inflowby calculating with normal water inflow which is calculated by simulation analysismethod. The results of two ways are almost the same.So the choose of computationalformula, method and parameters is reasonable. The results can be used in planningand designing the mine.
