The purpose of this study is to reduce water formation from coal pyro lysis by associating catalytic reaction behind the pyrolusis of coal. The wastewater will be decreased from the source of coal pyrolysis, thereby the workload in the treatment of pyrolysis wastewater will be reduced. It will also reduce the negative impact of wastewater on the environment.1-While the pyrolysis pressure is0.4Mpa and the particle size of the coal sample between Omm and6mm. The single factor experiment was carried to research the effects of pyrolysis temperature (460~580℃), carrier gas flow rate (50-250ml/min) and holding time (0~30min) on the yield of coal tar production. The comparatively good conditions in which we will obtain more coal tar are consistent under N2or CO atmosphere. These conditions are: the temperature at520℃, holding time20min and the carrier gas flow rate170ml/min. When the pyrolysis is operated under N2atmosphere the yields of coal tar, semi coke and pyrolysis water are10.28%,81.60%,3.75%under the comparatively good conditions. When the pyrolysis is operated under CO atmosphere the yields of coal tar, semi coke and pyrolysis water are10.22%,81.36%,4.45%under the comparatively good conditions.2.The pyrolysis of Shenmu bituminous coal is carried on the fixed-bed device. When the conditions are:the temperature at520℃, holding time20min and the carrier gas flow rate170ml/min, the pyrolysis is experimentalized to obtain coal tar. The obtained coal tar is treated with pickling and alkaline cleaning. The extracted components, namely, acidic, alkaline, aliphatic, aromatic and polar fractions are ultimately gotten and then analyzed by GC-MS. The yields of these fives fractions change from0.88%,0.42%.2.30%.1.80%.0.91%to0.82%.0.40%.2.33%,1.85%,0.85%, when the atmosphere change from N2to CO.3.The pyrolysis device is equipped with a section of fixed-bed reactor which is constituted with Co-Mo catalyst. The water vapor is eliminated from raw pyrolysis gas by using catalytic reaction. When the conditions are:pressure0.4Mpa, atmosphere CO, temperature520℃, the pyrolysis of Shenmu bituminous coal is carried and then the raw pyrolysis gas enters into the equipped fixed-bed. The water vapor in raw pyrolysis gas reacts with CO on the surface of catalytic, therefore the water content of the mixture collected in the cooling trap.(1) The single factor experiment was carried to research the effects of shift reaction temperature, carrier gas flow rate and holding time on the yield of pyrolysis wastewater production. The shift reaction temperature is the most important experiment factor on the production yields. The yield of pyrolysis wastewater lowered from5.19%(air dry) to0.6%(air dry), when the temperature of the shift reaction ranged from200℃to400℃. (2)The yields of CO2and H2in pyrolysis gas increase to45.29ml/g and71.09ml/g. when the equipped reactor is at400℃and the carrier gas How90ml/min. The yields of CO2and H2in dehydration test are14times and5times more than those of CO2and H2in the blank experiment under the same conditions.
