In recent years, the functional dyes were widely used in the fields of bio-molecular probes, laser technology and other fields. So lots of new functional dyes have been designed and synthesized, in which the cyanine dyes, phthalocyanines (PCS), squarine dyes, bis(dithiolene) complexes and triarylamine dyes have attracted much attention because of their good solubility and strong absorption in near infrared region. The stability of the NIR dyes, especially the dyes with absorption maximum above700nm, decreases with the red-shift of the absorption maximum, so design and synthesis of the NIR dyes with good stability is the urgent problem that needs to be solved for the scientists. In this thesis, the following works have been done:1. Ten near-infrared dyes were synthesized, in which four of them are cyanine dyes, three of them are nickle bis(dithiolene) complexes, two of them are triarylamine dyes, and one is squarine dye.2. The thermal stability and light stability in solution, as well as the stability in the polymer film were tested. The degradation mechanisms of the dyes were explored.3. The effects of the substituents on the stability of the dyes were studied. In addition, the thermal stability of the dyes could be improved by adding anti-oxidants.
