Phenol and acetone are both important materials for chemical engineering process. They have much broad application field. Market prospect is favored by people. The cumene method for phenol and acetone production process after nearly60years of development, it is towards the low energy consumption and low pollution, low emission yield and high output. Phenol-acetone product yield can reach97%, and product quality can reach and exceed the producing polycarbonate grade bisphenol A requirement for the quality of products, the emission yield of waste water, exhaust gas and waste residue decreased obviously, its basic system whole flow of clean production was realized.China petroleum&chemical corporation., LTD., Shanghai gaoqiao company expansion of phenol acetone devices in the production process, it emerged the percentage of a-methylstyrene dimer, cumylphenol and acetophenone is too high in the crude phenol tower bottom. Phenol and acetone after distillation process have been the product quality satisfies the requirement of industrial production. Decomposition reaction uses sulfuric acid as catalyst, in order to prevent the feed to corrode the equipment, it has to neutralize the acid. Adding the right amount of sodium hydroxide in neutral phase can reduce effectively the generation of heavy impurity components in distillation stage to control the oil phase pH between5.0and5.5. Starting the phenol refining resin bed to remove the trace impurities in phenol, it can improve the purity of phenol products.
