Preparation And Properties Of Blend Fibers Of Wool/Cellulose | Posted on:2014-01-07 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Z K Wang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2231330398951491 | Subject:Textile chemistry and dyeing and finishing works | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Wool is the textile industrial raw materials used widely with excellent performance,butthere is serious waste in application process and environmental pollution in traditionalrecycling methods,and it is an important direction of materials research that raising addedvalue by recycling wool.Cellulose is an important renewable resource in nature.It is the wayof preparing high quality materials without harm to environment that cellulose and wool areprepared into blend material using new organic green ionic liquid as solvent by solutionblending.In this thesis,the dissolution of wool and cellulose in self-made ionic liquid wasstudied,then preparation process,structure and properties of blend films was investigated.Thespinning solution possessing excellent spinnability was obtained by studying the rheologicalbehavior of the blend solution of cellulose and wool keratin.The spinning process wasresearched and the structure and property of blend fibers was also charactered.Specificexperiments are as follows:The dissolution process and technology in ionic liquid was studied.The self-made ionicliquid of1-butyl-N-methyl imidazole acetate was used as solvent,and the two solutions wereprepared by dissolving wool at100℃and cellulose at90℃.Four levels of five factors orthogonal test was designed based on properties of filmsrelated to several individual factors.Considering physical and mechanical properties as mainindex,we got the best condition for preparing blend films:wool/cellulose ratio of7:3, blendstirring of120min at temperature of60℃,regenerated in ionic liquids/ethanol of3:7at roomtemperature,dried on plastic membrane,the strength of blend film reached31.83MPa.Blended solution of wool keratin and cellulose belongs to shear-thinning fluid,and theapparent viscosity of solution decreases with the increase of shear rate;The non-Newton indexof blend solution increases with the increase of temperature and wool content,and its structural viscosity index decreases with the increase of temperature and wool content,so ahigh proportion of wool solution with higher temperature has good spinnability.The apparentviscosity of spinning solution increases with the increase of cellulose content and the decreaseof temperature.The7:3(wool:cellulose) blend solution at60℃will be used to spin.Spinning blend solution of7:3of60℃to obtain the optimum condition:water of5℃ascoagulation bath,keeping stretch of1.2times at drying process,the strength of blend fibersreached2.54cN/dtex-1.The IR spectra,morphology and XRD showed that there were interactions and goodcompatibility between wool and cellulose in blend films and fibers.The type of coagulationbath and the content of ionic liquid have slight influence on the structure of blend materials.IRspectra indicated that blend film and fiber basically preserves original group of cellulose andkeratin showing protein property;Morphology revealed that tensility on blend materials atdrying process is conducive to improve structure;XRD showed that the dissolved andregenerated process damages the crystals of wool keratin and the cellulose mainly exists incellulose II;TG illustrated that the thermal stability of blend films and fibers is excellent. | Keywords/Search Tags: | ionic liquid, wool, cellulose, rheological behavior, blend films, blend fibers | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
