Wash oil,as the by-product of coal tar,was mainly used for mainly for theabsorption of benzene in the coke oven gas. Therefore, the processes ofmanufacturing wash oil into high value-added products have been attracted more andmore attention. In this thesis, wash oil was studied, the device of cavitation wasimproved, wash oil was studied under catalysis-free and catalytic systems. Theresearch contents are as follows:⑴The improved of cavitation. The material system was small, so the reactionwas significant affected by environment and the reaction time was uncontrollable.Appropriate cold trap was used to achieve constraint cooling, to overcome theinfluence by room temperature and to control the reaction time.⑵The cavitation of wash oil. Final reaction temperatures from70℃to110℃ofcavitation were studied, the density, viscosity, distillation range and the component ofwash oil were tested. It is showed that the properties of wash oil were mostly identicalafter cavitation, i.e., cavitation had no effect on the properties of wash oil.⑶The cavitation of wash oil and water catalysis-free system. The componentand relative quantity of wash oil was studied with increasing of addition of wateramounts fromer from5%to20%at70℃. It is showed that relative quantity of washoil achieve biggest change, when the water amounts was10%, i.e., the content ofnaphthalene and1-methyl naphthalene increased at3.15%and1.05%, the content of2-methyl naphthalene and acenaphthene decreased1.09percent and1.26percent.There was no new substance substance created and no original species disappeared.⑷The cavitation of wash oil and water catalytic system. The effect of reactionstages, catalysts, amount of water, final reaction temperature and amount of catalystson cavitation were investigated by single-factor test. It is showed that the optimalcavitation was carried out:one stage reaction, the catalyst was NiSO4, water contentwas10%, catalyst amount was0.3%, the end reaction temperature was75℃. Theincrease of naphthalene content was7.71percent, the decrease of acenaphthenecontent was2.81percent.⑸The AAS results suggested that the catalyst dispersed homogeneously insystem.
