The deep tight gas reservoir in southern Songliao basin has features of deep burial, denselithology, poor physical property, high in-situ stress and no natural deliverability. Earlydevelopment practice certificated that neither horizontal well nor conventional verticalfracturing can achieve promising stable production. This paper presents the successful casehistory in which the horizontalmassivemultistage fracturing techniques are developed. Thisincludes optimizing horizontal section, optimizing the horizontal well completion andfracturing design, the slim open-hole packer sliding sleevemultistage fracturing technique andthe large scale traversing fracturing technology. Also the deep well fracturing operation safetyand surface security technique are discussed in the paper. At present9wells100stages hasbeen operated, and achieved the target ofmost15stages andmaximum1451m3proppants in asingle well. The stable production rate of the fractured horizontal well was5timesmore thanthe around vertical well. This technology can fracturemore stages, shorten operation time, lessen formation damage and reduce friction drag. So itmaximizes the reservoir stimulationvolume, which provides technical support for large-scale development of the tight gassandstone reservoir in Changling gas field.
