Nickel-zinc ferrite powders were prepared by coprecipitation method and coordination polymers method, Cu2O and Cu2O/nickel-zinc ferrite magnetically separable photocatalyst were prepared by the Hydrazine Hydrate Reduction method. The as-prepared sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photocatalytic activities of Cu2O/nickel-zinc ferrite (D、E) magnetically separable photocatalyst was investigated by the degradation of methyl orange. The results show that the Cu2O coating nickel-zinc ferrite composite powders have higher photocatalytic activity for methyl orange solution. In addition, its photocatalytic efficiency can be maintained at81%when it was repeatedly used for4times. Cu2O/nickel-zinc ferrite magnetically separable photocatalyst can be separated from the system by applying magnetic field. It is considered that the Cu2O coating nickel-zinc ferrite is a promising photocatalyst. |
