| The problem of waste has been becoming more important with the development of the economic of our country. The environment researcher pays more attention to the landfill which is the main method to deal with the waste. However, there are still many problems that troubles human beings. The geophysical methods have been becoming more important in the appliance of landfills’detecting with the development of the geophysics.Firstly, the thesis introduces the status of the landfill and describes the inner structures of it and involved background knowledge, and also refers to some examples of the Environmental and Engineering Geophysics’current appliance and its results. The thesis especially discusses the feasibility of the geophysical methods used in the landfill’s detecting.Secondly, it introduces the principle and instruments of some common kinds of geophysical methods, which include the GPR Method, the Multi-Electrodes Electrical Method, the Induced Polarization Method, the Transient Electromagnetic Method and the High-precision Magnetic Method. The geophysical methods are used in some landfills in Beijing and some place in Hebei. The GPR and High-precision Magnetic methods are applied in some landfills in Beijing. The survey adopts the point measurement in order to improve the precision whose space between is 20 cm. The length of the whole line is about 1950 m. There are 9750 points detected. The survey in some place in Hebei also makes use of point measurement. Four geophysical methods are used and the survey finishes 29 sections. The length of the whole line is 5516m. There are 9190 points which are detected. The survey finds out the rule and characters of different kinds of landfills’geophysical abnormity which especially detects the some landfills in Hebei makes systemic investigations.After that, it can be established the most efficient method to detect the landfill which is the electromagnetic method. The result of the experiment proves that the methods make telling efforts in detecting landfills including GPR Method, the Multi-Electrodes Electrical Method, the Induced Polarization Method and the Transient Electromagnetic Method. Since different methods provide diverse detecting depth and different effects, it is better to choose the best method after contrast and conclusion according to the actual problem.In the end, the thesis makes the conclusion and prospect to the appliance of geophysical methods in detecting landfills. |
