The rapid development of smart grid technology urge the traditional coal-fired power plants in China to find their own development road of sustainable development. Conventional coal-fired power plants, power generation efficiency is generally not high, more emissions, consumption of primary energy resources are non renewable, for the country’s electricity develop economically and cleanly, urgent need to change this state. On-site mature improvements are gasification combustion technology, pulverized coal co-firing with renewable energy technologies and other methods to reduce pollutant emissions. For conventional coal-fired power plants, in order to improve power generation and combustion efficiency and reduce emissions of environmental pollutants and rational use of resources, need to be online in real-time monitoring of key parameters in generation process, in which the process of pneumatic conveying of pulverized coal mass flow value and water content of the mixture of pulverized coal directly affect the burning in combustion chamber, thereby affecting the power generation, safe and economic operation of power grid impact.Therefore it is necessary of real-time monitoring coal mass flow value and water content of the mixture of pulverized coal in generation process.As the process of primary air transportation of coal mill outlet to the burner exit belongs to the gas-solid two phase flow of pneumatic conveying process, so you can use capacitance tomography transmission-line monitoring of the process of pulverized coal flow distribution and quality flow value. The same principle of using capacitance method to explore measures method can be on-line monitoring of the water content of the mixture of pulverized coal. Capacitor-based and considering that the works avoid affecting the flow characteristics of gas-solid flow, setting a set of parallel cylindrical electrodes to form a micro-capacitor, exploring and deciding the specific relationship between micro-capacitors’data collected all kinds of factors. From the theoretical analysis, finite element numerical simulation analysis and experimental verification in three areas, verifying the correctness of the proposed relationship, with a clear line detection of moisture capacitance working principle, and designing the appropriate equipment.Though the online inspection of the water content of the mixture of pulverized coal in gas-solid flow, not only timely feedback the boiler combustion to ensure the plant economy development, but also online testing water content can further improve the accuracy of online measure of distribution of coal flow and mass flow rate by capacitance tomography. Therefore, online real-time monitoring of the water content of pulverized coal mixture in pulverized coal conveying process make significant sense of the coal-fired power plant security, economic, sustainable economic in accordance with the requirements of development of smart grid, and environmental protection development.
