Gas turbine is a main form of power plant in the area of aviation, shipping andelectricity industry, whose performance has been a main concern of our country. Since asimple gas turbine cycle contains certain disadvantages, efforts have been dedicated to thedevelopment and experiment of advanced cycles in recent years. Due to its superiority inthermal performance, steam injection cycle has become the highlight in the field of theadvanced gas turbine cycles. With a three-axis turbine model as basis and Vc++6.0as thesimulation platform, simulation models of a simple cycle gas turbine and steam injectioncycle are established using the method of modular modeling, and its results were comparedand analyzed. The main work of this paper is as follows:(1)Using C/C++language, a mathematical model for calculating the thermalprocess is developed according to the working fluid (air, water and steam, wet gas), whichcould be transferred as needed in the whole simulation.(2)A detailed simulation model of the combustion chamber is established, wherecalculation and comparison of the combustion chamber characteristics (efficiencycharacteristics, resistance characteristics) are made and the procedures of each methodand numerical simulation of conditions are also programmed and compared in similar cases.Through self-programmed thermal model, the influence of the combustion characteristicson the entire gas turbine is studied and the influence of STIG on combustion characteristicsis analyzed. The calculation results suggest there is an increase of total pressure loss in theSTIG, which hardly affects the efficiency of combustor.(3)The C language gas turbine dynamic simulation program of a simple cycle isachieved based on modular modeling method. Verification of steady-state design point iscarried out. The influence of various fuel injection laws on the stability of gas turbinesystem is investigated under dynamic condition. It is concluded that when gas turbine isdecelerating, fuel supply gradient could be reduced at high operating conditions andincreased at low operating conditions.(4)C language program of a gas turbine steam injection cycle is established tocalculate the steady-state conditions under different parameters and comparisons are made with the simple cycle results. In dynamic calculations, the variations of the parameters ofgas turbine are studied from the commencement to termination steam injection process.Through simulation, the influence law of the combustion chamber on the whole gasturbine is obtained, comparisons of performance between the simple cycle and the steaminjection cycle are achieved, and the dynamic characteristics of the simple cycle gas turbineand the steam injection cycle are obtained.
