Located in the south central part of Guanzhong Plain which is part of north cold area,Xi’an has long heating period. The current urban heat supply ratio is70.41%. The districtheating only accounts for37%, the centralized boiler accounts for32.6%, and thewall-mounted gas boiler accounts for4.42%, other energy forms, such as oil-fired boiler,electrical boiler, geothermal and ground source heat pump, account for3.39%. The area ofbuilding without of heating supply is41.8688million m2, accounting for29.59%of the totalbuilding.In this paper, the heating present situation and heat supply techniques in Xi’an arediscussed. Some projects of heating supply in Xi’an are analyzed and compared. Heatingmodes are analyzed from different aspects. The most energy-efficient, environmentallyfriendly, efficient heating mode is found. It supplies a reference to the heating industry of ourcity.The heating present situation and problems existing, the major factors and control ofenergy consumption are discussed. The economic performance of traditional heating modeswhich are used in residential construction are compared, the development direction of urbanheating supply and energy saving are discussed, and the rational utilization way of newenergy is also investigated. The research seeks to explore the heating supply potential andgives practical guidance to heating supply companies in the process of design, operation andmanagement of heating supply system.
