A remote supervision and analysis platform of main machine set conditions in pumping plant is researched and developed to meet the new requirements of maintenance and management, and new operation mode of Less attendant and Nobody on-duty, for the pumping plants in the Eastern Route of the South to North Water Project. With it, the main machine set conditions can be monitored and analyzed by Internet.Firstly, the functional requirements of the remote supervision and analysis platform of main machine set conditions in pumping plant are put forward based on the review of current situation and trend about machine set condition monitor and fault diagnosis domestic and overseas. The system structure is presented. And the hardware composition and software architecture are also described.In chapter3, the design and development of the field condition monitoring system in pumping plant and the remote condition monitoring agent server are introduced in detail. It is implemented with LabWindows/CVI and it is divided into five modules, such as system configuration, data acquisition, signal preprocessing, signal analysis and database management. The signal preprocessing module includes digital filtering, DC correction and software integration. And the signal analysis module is composed of amplitude-field analyses, time-field analyses and frequency-field analyses. Moreover, the design of supervisory pictures, signal wave, track of axes, spectrum and other programs are discribed in detail.In chapter4, the design and implementation of the remote supervision Web server for pumping plants in the Eastern Route of the South to North Water Project is described. The remote supervision Web server implemented with Measurement Studio provides such severs as remote supervision, remote maintenance, etc. Thus, the remote user can observe any main machine sets conditions of the18pumping plants in the Eastern Route of the South to North Water Project.Finally, several tests for the remote supervision and analysis platform are introduced. First, the hardware platform includes the test rig, sensor, acquisition equipment, and signal conditioning circuit is described. Then, several typical faults, such as rotor imbalance, oil film eddy and oil film whip, are simulated and evaluated. The designed remote supervision and analysis platform is used to acquire and analyze the machine set condition data of the swing, vibration and speed. And the features of rotor imbalance, oil film eddy, oil film whip are extracted through the time-field analyses, frequency-filed analyses and track of axes. Furthermore, the features are coincided with the related data. These tests show that the designed field status monitoring system realizes the basic functions of the local condition monitoring system, and the remote supervision Web server meets the basic demands of remote supervision based on Internet. The system has characteristics of user-friendly interface and easy maintenance. It will play significant role in changing the operations, maintenance and administration mode in pumping plants.
