The research was based on a new type of microbial fuel cells.Organic wastewater was treated in anaerobic fluidized bed microbial fuel cell(AFBMFC) at about30℃.The AFBMFC consist of atmosphere cathode, waste water and coco shell active carbon. The changes of wastewater COD at different retention time were investigated. Based on proper assumption, the kinetic model of anaerobic fluidized bed microbial fuel cell for matrix degradation of organic wastewater was found. The Monod equation and power reaction kinetic model were compared and tested with experimental data. The results show that matrix degradation of organic wastewater was first order reaction. Monod equation formula is first order reaction formula is In CA=-0.02532t+8.10915. The theoretical models can be fit close with experimental data.Liquid-solid model in the AFBMFC reactor was established by the Fluent simulation software, simplifying the reactor as a two-dimensional model by the Gambit pre-processing software. The fluid-bed distribution board opening rate and sewage inlet velocity were simulated to investigate fluidized state of the activated carbon in the fluid-bed, when the sewage inlet velocity of2mm/s、5mm/s、7mm/s、9mm/s. The objective of this simulation were to find out the best fluidizing velocity; starting speed of reducing the microbial fuel cell; velocity of improving the producing electricity and sewage processing. The results showed that the sewage inlet velocity of5mm/s, the best fluidizing velocity. The inlet velocity is5mm/s, the changes of monitoring point’s axial velocity and beds inflation.
