Seed-used pumpkin belongs to Cucurbilaceae, Cucurbita Linn. At present, the planting area of seed-used pumpkin in Inner Mongolia is gradually increasing year by year, the seed-used pumpkin has been playing an economic important role in agriculture, but the basic theory research of seed-used pumpkin is little. Through the observation of agronomic characters of21different varieties of seed-used pumpkins, the genetic diversity and genetic relationship were studied and6different varieties of seed-used pumpkins ware used in the nutrient composition analysis in this paper. The results showed that:1、Variations of21seed-used pumpkin in37different agronomic characters were great, the average coefficient of variation was50.58%.The variations of reproductive ware greater than the variations of nutrition growth.2、C.pepo varieties had a distant genetic relationship with C.moschata and C.maxima.but C.moschala and C.maxima had a close genetic relationship.3、The fatty acid, protein and amino acids, sugar and starch content is determined. And the nutritional value of C.pepo is higher than C.maxima. for example the C.pepo amino acids necessary for average is8.42%, C.maxima amino acids necessary means7.12%. So the C.pepo can be used as health nutrient on the market.4、Compared resistence to powdery mildew among21seed-used pumpkin varieties, C.moschata was the strongest, followed by C.maxima, yet, C.pepo is easier to be infected by powdery mildew that resistant varieties ware only42.86%.
