The Ocean is the life cradle of pregnancy and birth, which is abundant in extremely richSpecies. Marine sponges are actually one of the most common animal in the sea. Because of theunique and characteristic living environment in the ocean, marine sponges contain massivenumbers of novel chemical structures which possess distinctive physiology activity. Thesechemicals can be used as an important basis of development of new drugs for people. In this thesis, we perform the experiment on marine sponge species which was collected inthe South China Sea (the species is undetermined), and do research on the chemical constituentsby different kinds of experiment method, various types of separation technology andspectroscopy.10compounds were separated and identificated from the marine sponge, asfollows: Pregna-1,4,20-trien-3-one(1), Batilol(2), dibutyl phthalate (3), bis(2-ethylheptyl)phthalate (4), cholesta-5-ene-3β,7α-diol(5), Thymine deoxyriboside(6), benzoic acid (7),Thymine(8), uracil(9),2-palmitamidoethyl heptadecanoate(10).
