【Objective】The newly discovered Th17cells and inflammatory factor of IL-l7play a part inthe process of many inflammatory reaction and autoimmune diseases;IL-6is not onlythe key factor of the Th17cell differentiation, but also it cooperate with promotinginflammation. Type1diabetes Mellitus (T1DM) is an chronic autoimmune diseasemediated by T cells, Th17cells、IL-l7、IL-6and autoimmune diabetes association hasbeen confirmed in NOD mice models.This study is aimed at understanding theexpression of IL-l7, IL-6in patients with T1DM.【Methods】ELISA(Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) was used to determine the serumlevels of IL-l7and IL-6in forteen patients with T1DM,twenty seven patients withT2DM and sixteen healthy people;T2DM and healthy people were taken as contro1.【Results】1. The serum IL-l7level was gradually higher one by one three groups of healthysubjects、T2DM and T1DM;meanwhile,there are significant differences among threegroups(P<0.001).2. The serum level of IL-6was increased in patients with T1DM or T2DM than inhealthy subjects(P<0.01); there is no significance between patients with T1DM andT2DM;3. There exist high correlation between patients with T1DM and T2DM;4.The serum level of IL-l7was negative correlation with Age,BMI, Fastingc-peptide,Hgb(respectively r:0.329,﹣0.588,﹣0.492,﹣0.314; p:0.012,<0.001,<0.001,0.017);and it was positive correlation with HbA1C,FPG,Ketone(respectivelyr:0.364,0.523,0.631; p:0.005,<0.001,<0.001); The serum level of IL-6was negativecorrelation with Age, BMI, Fasting c-peptide, Hgb (respectively r:﹣0.32,﹣0.448,﹣0.418,﹣0.33; p:0.015,<0.001,0.001,0.012); and it was positive correlation withHbA1C,FPG,Ketone(respectively r:0.536,0.601,0.568; p <0.001);5. Ketone, BMI, HbA1C were important factors of IL-l7; Ketone,HbA1C wereimportant factors of IL-6; 【Conclusion】IL-l7and IL-6perhaps play an crucial role in autoimmune pathogenesis ofhumanT1DM.
