Thepercentages of seropositive individuals were50.6%(40/79) for infants≤6months old;67.1%(19/28)for infants>6~12months old;73.1%(125/171) for individuals>1~5years old;62.5%(55/88)for individuals>5~10years old; and50%(38/76)forindividuals>10~20years old.2ã€In442serum specimens,241were positive for HCoV-229E (54.5%). The percentagesof seropositive individuals were49.4%(39/79)for infants≤6months old;64.3%(18/28) for infants>6~12months old;70.8%(121/171)for individuals>1~5 individuals>10~20years old.Conclusions1ã€The methods of ELISA for detecting antibodies to HCoV-NL63and HCoV-229E weredeveloped successfully.2ã€Respiratory tract infection with HCoV-NL63and HCoV-229E is common in childrenin Fuzhou area though the prevalence usually vary among different age groups.3ã€The results of this research provides important information to prevention andtreatment of respiratory tract infection. The established methods has applicationpreospect in relative clinical analysis and researches. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Human coronavirus NL63(HCoV-NL63), Human coronavirus229E(HCoV-229E), Nucleocapsidprotein gene(N gene), Polymerase Chain Reaction(PCR), Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
