Objective:To discuss the protective effects of magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate on liver injury in rats with severe acute pancreatitis.Methods:Thirty-six male wistar rats were randomly divided into sham operation group、 severe acute pancreatitis group and medical treatment group. Rat SAP model was induced by retrograde injection of5%sodium taurocholate to pancreatic duct. Sham operation group were only disturbed pancreatic tissue, with no special treatment; pancreatitis group and treated group of rats to make SAP model. After the model successfully established. Sham operation group and severe acute pancreatitis group were given physiological saline,in medical treatment group magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate(dose is6mg/per100g) was given.The rats were killed12h after operation.The rats were determined level of TNF-a, AST, ALT,ALB in rats with severe acute pancreatitis and the observation of pancreas, liver tissue pathological picture.Results:Compared with sham operation group,the serum of TNF-a, AST, ALT of severe acute pancreatitis group increased sharply((P=0.00,P<0.05).However,the serum of ALB increased sharply((P=0.00,P<0.05).In medical treatment group,when magnesium isoglycyrrhizinate was given,plasma level of TNF-a, AST, ALT were decreased((P=0.00,P <0.05).However,the serum of ALB increased sharply((P=0.00,P<0.05).The mortalities of all group were respectively0%(0/12),33%(4/12),16.7%(2/12)。 The medical treatment group is lower than severe acute pancreatitis group on mortality rate.But the difference is not statistically significant (P=0.64, P>0.05). Pathological damage pancreas and liver of medical treatment group were decreased accordingly.Conclusion:Magnesium isoglyrrhizinate on liver injury of severe acute pancreatitis rat has the protective effects. The mechanism maybe inhibition of inflammatory mediator release,removal of oxygen free radical,stability of cell membrane,reduce inflammation and necrosis of liver cells.when SAP was applied Magnesium isoglyrrhizinate can reduce liver and pancreatic lesion extent, probably improve the curative rate and decrease the mortality rate.
