The Detection And Clinical Analyses Of Com-mon Viruses And Mycoplasma Pneumonia In Respiratory Infection Of Children In Lanzhou

Objective To investigate the difference between season, respiratory disease, age and sex in viral pathogens of acute respiratory infection (ARI) of children in lanzhou area to provide reference data for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method Serum samples were collected from768hospitalized patients with respiratory infection from Apr.2010to. Mar.2011. The serum samples were detected for7respiratory virus antigens including Adenovirus(ADV),Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV),Influenza virus(IFV), Parainfluenza virus(PIF), Echovirus(ECHO). Coxsackie virus(COX) and Epstein-Barr virus(EBV), and509serum samples were detected for Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) by Enzyme-Linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).The clinical manifestations of each virus were analyzed.Results768serum samples were collected from children with ARI.The positive detection rate of the viral pathogens antibody were44.5%(342/768). Among the viruses,RSV accounts for48.8%(167/342) of the positive,the top detected group was1-3years old.The positive detection rate of MP infection accounted for44.9%(9/21) were lobar pneumonia.Conclusions1.Viral pathogens are the main etiology of ARI in young children in Lanzhou area.RSV is the most frequent viral pathogens.2. ADV、RSV are the leading causese of ARI in infants and young children during winter in Lanzhou,during the summer the infection of EB virus is dominant.3.The low level of antibody on virus and mycoplasma pneumoniae in1-6months babies.4.MP is a common causative agent for ARI in children. MP may be the pathogen associated with lobar pneumonia.
