| Object iveTo observe the restoration of gastrointestinal functions in patients post-cardiac surgery and pressing ear acupoint, and detect the concentration of vasoactive intestine peptide before and after treatment to study its mechanisms.Method60subjects were divided into two groups randomly:treatment group in which30cases were treated with pressing ear acupoint and control group in which30cases were not given any prokinetic agents; the time of first cacation and the concentration of vasoactive intestine peptide were observed.ResultThe time of first cacation was shorter in treatment group than in control group(p<0.01); after treatment, the concentration of vasoactive intestine peptide reduced in both groups(p<0.05), with more significant reduction in treatment group than in control group (p<0.05).ConclusionBy pressing ear acupoint can accelerate the restoration of gastrointestinal functions in patients post-cardiac surgery by reducing the secretion of vasoactive intestine peptide. |
