Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) as a serious hazard to human health and autoimmune disease, its etiology and pathogenesis are not yet fully elucidated. At present, most scholars have recognized that Integrative treatment of SLE is a better method. In recent years, traditional Chinese medicine has been making a good progress in the treatment of SLE. However, as the name of the disease and the understanding of pathogenesis is not uniform, the complicated classification of the clinical syndromes, different evaluation standard, and the lack of induction and optimization of the clinical experience of the experts, affect the development of theory and clinical application of Chinese medicine for this disease.ObjectiveAnalyzing the contemporary medical cases of SLE to explore the potentially useful Chinese herb and symptom patterns.so as to provide a standardized reference of diagnosis and treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus.MethodsThorough search of the biomedical literature service system and by screening out the medical cases of systemic lupus erythematosus to establish a database of the Chinese herbs and symptoms. Using correlation analysis and frequency analysis techniques for data mining, to analyze the results by the theory of Chinese medicine.ResultsA total of113articles of Systemic lupus erythematosus contemporary medical cases including135cases and285visits were enrolled.1. There were386types of Chinese herbs used in the135cases, a total frequency of3850, commonly used drugs (frequency accounted for more than 15%of285visits) of25types. Among the high frequency of drugs, there were clearing heat and cooling blood drugs like Dan Pi, Sheng Di Huang, Chi Shao, Shui Niu Jiao and tonifying drugs like Sheng Gan Cao, Huang Qi, Dang Gui, Bai Shao.2. There were207symptoms, a total frequency of1593times, the frequency accounted for more than10%of the285visits among the tongue and pulse is47. Among the other symptoms, there was a total frequency of1049, the frequency accounted for more than15%of the285visits is23. The higher frequency of symptoms covered the2002version of "Traditional Chinese Drug treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus Guidelines for clinical research in SLE symptoms" in classification of20kinds of symptoms observed in the quantization table. Red tongue, yellow coating, string and rapid pulse is similar to the toxic heat flaming syndrome; pale tongue, thin coating, thready pulse is similar to Qi deficiency syndrome.3. There are23results of the association rules of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine of the systemic lupus erythematosus medical cases. When compared with the traditional theory, eight pairs are found, such as "Shui Niu Jiao—Sheng Di Huang","Dan Pi—Chi Shao""Sheng Di Huang—Dan Pi" etc..15pairs of new combination which have not been discussed in the traditional theory, such as "Dan Pi—Shui Niu Jiao","Dan Pi—Shan Zhu Yu","Dan Pi—Shan Yao" etc.4. There are23results of the association rules of symptoms and symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus medical cases that meet the minimum conditions of10%support and20%minimum rule confidence, such as "edema—low back pain","tiredness—insomnia","oliguria—edema","tiredness—fever","facial erythema—fever" etc.5. Results were generally in line with the efficacy of the drug, rules with good credibility such as "Dan Pi—edema","Dan Pi—fatigue" are knowledge with no discourse in the traditional theory. Conclusion1. The high frequency of drugs obeyed the medication rules of the nature of disease and the common syndromes of SLE. The frequency of the top15Chinese medicine could be found in the Langchuang no.Ⅱ formula of the Guangdong Province famous Traditonal Chinese Medicine doctor Professor Xuan.2. The higher frequency of symptoms covered the2002version of "Traditional Chinese Drug treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus Guidelines for clinical research in SLE symptoms" in classification of20kinds of symptoms observed in the quantization table, indicating that the symptoms of the enrolled cases were consistent with the common manifestation of SLE.3. Obtained23drug pairs of accuracy, universality, high availability and traditional Chinese medicine drugs.15drug pairs of new combinations were not discussed in the traditional theory, of which12pairs of drugs could be found in the Langchuang no. Ⅱ formula. All of them have satisfactory results in clinical practice and worthy of promotion.4. Obtained23pairs of symptoms and symptoms associated rules, with the set of a reasonable degree of confidence and support, and the lift degree of all is greater than1means that a symptom could facilitate the appearance of the other symptom, thus has a certain value for clinical reference.5. Obtained22pairs of Chinese medicine and symptoms associated rules, the results are in line with the efficacy of the drug. Among them,"Dan Pi—edema","Dan Pi—fatigue" have good credibility and were not discussed in the traditional theory. Prompted when patients with systemic lupus erythematosus appear swollen or fatigue, Dan Pi can be used; Dan Pi and Sheng Di Huang were used throughout all the common symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus. The results have a certain validity, and could be used for clinical reference and further validation.
