Objective:To explore the effect of hyperbaric oxygen on the subcutaneously transplanted tumor of human hypopharyngeal carcinoma in naked mice.Methods:32male Balb/c mouse were randomly divided into blank control group A1、blank control group A2、HBO experimental group B1and HBO experimental group B2,8mouse in each group, vaccination the hypopharyngeal cancer cell Fadu in logaruthmic phase which have been digested, and exposure to atmospheric air and HBO respectively after establishing mouse tumor. The change of the tumor volume、 weight, the histopathology and immunohistochemistry were observed and recorded at the end of treatment. Results:Histopathology of each group showed poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. HBO experimental group B1tumor quality inhibition rate was20.13%、volume inhibition rate was20.54%, the expression of Fapa(Fibroblast activation protein-alpha) was inferior to blank control group A1(P<0.05); HBO experimental group B2were13.65%and10.30%respectively, the expression of Fapa was inferior to blank control group A2(P<0.05).Conclusion:HBO may inhibit the tumor growth of the subcutaneously transplanted tumor of human hypopharyngeal carcinoma in naked mice, its exposure time may have certain relations with the tumor quality inhibition rate.
