| Objective This research aimed to compare the polishing, bending performance of the clinical commonly used three composite resin, Solitaire2posterior teeth resin (SOL2), Charisma composite resin filling material (CHA) and Venus composite resin material (VEN) as well as the bonding strength caused by the area of calcium hydroxide (CHO) while filling SOL2.Methods Roughness:The three kinds of composite resin were made into60disc-shaped specimens. The pad of Poly Ethylene Glycol Terephthalate (PET) was set between one of the specimen’s sides, the other sides were polished by Burleo Disc (BD) and Super-Snap Discs (SSD). Roughness was measured by portable roughness measuring instrument and Ra, Rz, Rq, and Rt was recorded.Anti-staining performance:Three kinds of composite resin SOL2, CHA, and VEN were made into40disc-shaped specimens, which were randomly divided into2groups. One side of the first group specimens was directly treated by PET, the other side with the BD polishing.20specimens of another group were treated with PET on one side, while the other side with SSD polishing.20specimens in one group were randomly divided into2teams,10in one team, respectively soaked in Nestle flavor coffee (Coffee, CF) and Lipton instant green tea (Green Tea, GT). Colorimeter measurement was used to measure L*, a*and b*after soaking6h,12h,24h and48h. The excel software was used to calculate Value Of Chromatism (VOC) after dipping6,12,24and48hours. The formula was ΔE=[(AL*)2+(Δa*)2+(Δb*)2]1/2.Flexural strength (the Three the Point Flex, TPF) test:Three kinds of composite resin SOL2, CHA, and VEN were made into302.0×2.0×25.0long strip of the specimens. TPF was measured by universal material tester.The bonding strength test:150premolar extraction in orthodontic treatment was selected and randomly divided into5groups,30in each group. All teeth were embedded by self-curing resin, perpendicular to the tooth long axis of the cutting teeth, exposing the dentin surface. After cleaning and drying the dentin surface, the first group was not treated with CHO, while the other four groups were injected with CHO, whose inner diameter were respectively0.89mm,1.26mm,1.55mm and2mm, photosensitive curing. Plastic pipe of4mm inner diameter was used to layer SOL2. So the CHO bottom area in the bonding area was respectively0%,5%,10%,15%,25%in the five groups. Universal materials testing machine was used to measure the shear force, divided by bonding area to obtain the bonding strength.Results Roughness:In the same polishing conditions, three kinds of composite resin SOL2, CHA, and VEN had no significant difference in roughness(P>0.05).Roughness of PET group in each resin was significantly lower than the SSD and BD group (P<0.05). Roughness of SSD group in each resin was significantly lower than BD group (P <0.05).Anti-staining performance:(1) VOC change in three kinds composite resin SOL2, CHA, and VEN over timeSix hours before the color change of the three kinds of composite resin, resin color change rate (P<0.05);Three kinds of composite resin, resin24h and48h of VOC in the same polishing conditions and the color change within48hours under the same dip solution was no significant difference (P>0.05);VEN in the same polishing conditions and under the same dip solution color change within48hours,12h,24h and48h of VOC significant difference (P>0.05).(2) SOL2, of CHA, and VEN three kinds of composite resin in the same polishing conditions and the same dip solution Dir48hours VOC Three kinds of composite resin resin48hours under the same polishing conditions and the same dip solution VOC there was a significant difference (P<0.05);In the same polishing conditions and the same dip solution the VEN first48hours of VOC significantly lower than SOL2and the VEN (P <0.05);Under the same polishing conditions and the same dip solution of VOC in48hours SOL2significantly lower than that of CHA (P<0.05).(3) of the same resin in the same dip solution polished Dir48hours VOCSOL2in the same kind of dye PET group48hours of VOC significantly higher than the SSD group and the BD group (P<0.05);The same kind of dye under SOL2SSD group was significantly higher than in the48hours of VOC BD group (P<0.05);VEN BD group in the same kind of dye in48hours of VOC were significantly higher than that of the PET group and SSD group (P<0.05);The VEN PET group and SSD group in the same kind of dye in the first48hours of VOC no significant difference (P>0.05).(4) the same kind of resin in the same polished to deal with different dip solution Dir48hours VOCSOL2VEN in the same kind of roughness Dir48hours of the VOC, the CF group was significantly higher than the GT group (P<0.05); (5) CHA48hours VOC compareCHA6group in the color value of48hours no significant difference (P>0.05).The flexural strength:SOL2the TPF was significantly higher than the other two resins (P<0.05); TPF between the two kinds of composite resin of CHA and VEN no significant difference (P>0.05).Bond strength testing:CHO bottom area of less than10%, the bond strength and the bottom group no significant difference (P>0.05); the CHO bottom area of15%, the bond strength was significantly lower than the bottom group (P<0.05); CHO bottom area of25%, the bond strength was significantly lower than the non-bottom group and15%(P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical should be possible to use static polishing method such as the use of polyester film forming film polishing of composite resins, composite resins to take a good surface finish and color stability; larger filler particles and the ionization of the organic matrix can effectively improve the flexural strength; clinical fooled calcium hydroxide bottom area of the total bonding area less than10%, not special treatment, it is recommended that the15%increase in solid-bit type, if more than25%, it is strongly recommended to increase retention type. |
