The Clinical Research On The Treatment Of Turbid-phlegm Type In Meniere Disease Which Based Mainly On Zheng’s Acupuncture Prescription Of Kaiqiao And Hearing Ear

BackgroundMeniere disease is a common disease of clinical, frequently encountered disease, the prevalence of peripheral vertigo in the first place, with Vertigo as the main symptoms of the disease, while accompanied by tinnitus, bearing loss and ear sensation of fullness. There is no specific treatment method of Western medicine, surgical treatment is imprecise and risky, it is difficult to universal application;drugs are not satisfactory, there side-effects are considerable, cannot suitable for long-term use. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of Vertigo since ancient times, this kind of disease, recently clinical application report of therapeutic effect of acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment of Meniere disease achieve better reporting more and more, Ongoing treatment and research of acupuncture and moxibustion, looking for safe, effective and comprehensive treatment is particularly necessary.ObjectiveTo Observe the clinical efficacy and safety of the treatment which based mainly on Zheng’s acupuncture prescription of Kaiqiao and hearing ear on Meniere Disease, in order to Seeking for Meniere disease treated with acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of practical and more effective treatments, and to further expand the scope of treatment of Zheng’s acupuncture prescription of Kaiqiao and hearing ear.Methods50cases of out-patient of Meniere Disease from the acupuncture out-patient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, were randomly divided into25cases of therapy group (the treatment which based mainly on Zheng’s acupuncture prescription of Kaiqiao and hearing ear), and25patients of control group (common acupuncture treatment). Respectively before treatment, treatment of (divided into the daily record and the record after each course, a total of two treatment courses, each course of seven days), he indicators of Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DⅢ)post treatment scores and VAS scores of fallot symptoms of Meniere disease, and data analysis on scoring changes to assess efficacy. Establishdatabases, and use statistical analysis of SPSS18.0.ResultsBoth methods of the research achieved a satisfactory clinical efficacy, and the therapy group was better. To compare the indicators of Dizziness Handicap Inventory (DHI) before and after the treatment between the two groups, There was a significant differences (P＜0.05) after the first course, but no differences (P＞0.05) after the second course.To compare the scores of VAS before and after the treatment, there is significant difference (P＜0.05)on the four syndromes in both two groups.To compare the scores of Visual analogue scale (VAS) after the treatment between the two groups, the symptoms of vertigo and a sense of ear blockage there is no differences (P＞0.05);but the symptoms of tinnitus and hearing loss there is a significant difference (P＜0.05).To compare the number of cured patients’recovered days on the four syndromes between two groups, the symptoms of vertigo and hearing loss there is no differences (P＞0.05); the symptoms of tinnitus and a sense of ear blockage there is significant difference (P＜0.05).To compare the cure rate on the four symptoms between two groups, the symptoms of vertigo and hearing loss there is no differences (P＞0.05); the symptoms of tinnitus and a sense of ear blockage there is significant difference (P＜0.05).ConclusionThere was not any severe adverse events in the research. In a word, the acupuncture treatment which based mainly on Zheng’s acupuncture prescription of Kaiqiao and hearing ear is an effective method of treating turbid-phlegm type of Meniere disease, espicially on the syndromes of tinnitus、hearing loss and a sense of ear blockage, on the other side, the acupuncture treatment which based mainly on Zheng’s acupuncture prescription of Kaiqiao and hearing ear can shorten the course of treatment.
