BackgroundWan Quan’s "three enough to spares, four shortage" theory clearly point out that the functionalities of children’s spleen and the lung are deficient. The deficiency of lung and spleen is the physiological characteristics of children. The pediatric immune system and digestive system function is not yet perfect, it is the cause of highest incidence of respiratory and digestive diseases. The hot and humid climate in Guangdong, the humid pathogenic factor more likely to hinder the spleen and lung, therefore children DLS constitution is very common. Children with DLS are susceptible to lung, spleen system diseases, which are classified in the sub-health state, according to moder medicine classification. According to "preventive treatment of disease" theory " in TCM, DLS children in the state of un-happen disease in the context of "disease". Chinese medicine had accumulated rich clinical experience in preventive treatment of disease, has the unique and irreplaceable advantage in the prevention of health care, and health rehabilitation. Pediatric also accumulated some experience in preventive treatment of disease, but the outpatient children are mostly acute, and parents often ignore the potential risk of children’s physical constitution, hence, it’s difficult to carry out "preventive treatment of disease". Community health as a new medical model for the Chinese medicine "treating disease" provides a good research platform. With the in-depth refinement of the community child care, preventive treatment before medical treatment carried out to provide a more convenient and favorable conditions. Community to carry out the treatment of disease, will play a major ro]e in the field of child health prevention. PurposeThrough the use of traditional therapies-chiropractic, community "treating disease" Clinical study of health interventions on the physical children of the lung and spleen deficiency. Treating disease by expanding coverage to the community, to explore the community in the treatment of disease medical forms. Observation of the chiropractic TCM symptoms and improvement in growth and development, to objectively evaluate the efficiency of traditional Chinese medicine therapy in treating disease.MethodsUsing the randomized single blind controlled study, one kindergarten class as a unit, randomly divide into2groups. Conduct health interventions and nursing on the children of the lung and spleen deficiency in the treatment group, while no intervention in control group. Six months after an overall evaluation of efficacy and fill out the table of adverse events observed. Using SPSS13.0for statistical analysis, measuring data homogeneity of variance by t-test, the heterogeneity of variance using the Wilcoxon rank sum test, counting data using the chi-square test, ranking data with Riddit analysis (or rank sum test).ResultsThe cure rate of the treatment group was significantly better than the control group, the cure rate was (P<0.05). After treatment, the main and the sub asymptoms before and after the treatment in the treatment group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). After treatment, the experimental group and control group, the main symptoms of points, Ci disease integral comparison, a statistically significant difference (P<0.01). The experimental group after treatment, every six months on the respiratory tract infection the number of times before and after comparison, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01); under the number of respiratory infections and diarrhea before and after comparison, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The group of20cases of spleen deficiency in children with salivary amylase inspection, studies have shown that treatment before, after salivary amylase by statistical analysis, the significant gap between the two groups (P<0.05). ConclusionTreatment group is better than the control group. It implies that the Chiropractic can significantly improve the situation of children with lung and spleen deficiency, can significantly improve the ptyalin level of children with lung and spleen deficiency, can significantly reduce the number of URI infection of children, but not found that chiropractic treatment can significantly reduce the number of infections of lower respiratory tract and diarrhea.
