The Expression And Signiifcance Of Secreted Protein Acidic And Rich In Cysteine In Renal Cell Carcinoma

Objective: To investigate the SPARC expression in renal cell carcinoma and toanalyze the relationship between grading and staging of renal pathology.Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of SPARC in68cases of RCC and20cases of renal tissue.The correlation between the expression ofSPARC and clinical pathology in renal cell carcinoma. the results were analyzed withSPSS17.0software, P=0.05was regarded as statistically significant critical value.Results:52of68RCC were positive for SPARC protein with a76.5%positive rate,butthere was lower expression in normal renal tissue,Statistic significance existedbetween the two groups(P=0.000). The expression of SPARC were positive in16cases(100%) of advanced RCC (Clinical stage III~IV),were positive in36cases(69.2%) of52cases in early staging RCC(I~II), Statistic significance existedbetween the two groups(P=0.028).The positive rate of SPARC in lymph nodemetastasis of RCC (14/14;100%)was significantly higher than that those withoutlymph node metastasis (38/54;70.4%),P=0.048.In the renal pathologic type, Thepositive rate of SPARC in renal clear cell carcinoma was90.5%(38/42), renalpapillary cell carcinoma was62.5%(10/16), chromophobe renal cell carcinoma was40%(4/10), Statistic significance existed among the three groups(P=0.001).SPARC in Ⅰ、Ⅱ、 Ⅲgrade of renal clear cell carcinoma of the positiveexpression rates were85%(17/20),91.7%(11/12) and100%(10/10), thepositive rate between the groups was not statistically significant (P=0.587), But inthe expression of degree, Statistic significance existed among the three groups (P=0.001). TheSPARC was not related to age\sex (P〉0.05).Conclusion: SPARC was activated abnormally in RCC, The expression of SPARCcorrelated with clinical staging, grading, lymph node metastasis ability in RCC, Theexpression of SPARC may reflect the differentiation level of RCC and ishighly related with the prognosis of RCC patients.They may be a new target forcuring of RCC and serve as key for researching mechanism of RCC.
