Objective:Make a systematic analysis of the effects and safety of Oral contraceptives (OCPs) in treatment of adolescents with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in order to guide clinical medication based on an objective and believable evaluation and to provide the basis for further study and foundation.Method:Based on evidenee-based medicine(EBM), a comprehensive search of clinical study at home and abroad about treatment of adolescents with Polyeystic ovary syndrome is made, and we choose the articles of Oral contraceptives treatment of randomized controlled trials, evaluate the methodological quality of the artieles(includingrandom, blind, distribution and hiddenlost),and finally use Revman5.0software for statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. Results:The total elected13randomized controlled trials ineludes625cases of patients. The results show that, the effects of OCPs combined metformin in improved BMI (P<0.00001)、LH/FSH (P<0.00001)、FIN (P<0.00001) are batter than using OCPs only; while there are not conspicuous difference between the two groups in T (P=0.17)、FBS (P=0.78)。OCPs would improve the level of TG (P=0.002) and LDL (P <0.0001), the level of T (P=0.67) and SHBG (P=0.16) between the two groups are of no statistical difference。Conelusion:Oral contraceptives are effective in treating in adolescents with polycystic ovary syndrome and the effects of OCPs combined metformin are better than using OCPs only. The number of the articles included in the study is little and the quality of the articles is low, so the reliability of the analysis is weak, yet more high-quality researehes are necessary to increase the strength of proof.
