Objective: To discuss the Xinjiang Uygur and Han depression in patients with serumhomocysteine (Hcy) levels and incidence of depression. Methods: The HamiltonDepression Scale (HAMD) dimension (55cases), Han (60cases) group of patientswith depression and healthy controls (dimensional, Han) assessment, determination ofthe group of patients with depression and healthy controls serum Hcy levels. Results:①Han depression in patients with serum Hcy value15.37of±5.936μmol/L, significantlyhigher than the Han healthy control group,11.45±4.067μmol/L, the difference wasstatistically (t=3.566, P<0.05). The②Uygur patients with serum Hcy value of15.81±6.394μmol/L, significantly higher than the Uighurs healthy control group10.43±4.175μmol/L, the difference was statistically significant (t=4.285, P<0.05).(3) Hanpatient group and the Uighurs between the two groups of patients, serum Hcy levels weresignificantly difference (t=-0.308, P>0.05); the Han serum Hcy levels in the controlgroup and the Uighurs in the control group there was no significant difference (t=1.117,P<0.05) in human serum Hcy levels does not exist inter-ethnic differences. Conclusion:①The serum Hcy and depression are closely related to high serum Hcy levels may berelated to the relative risk factors for depression, with incidence of depression.②nosignificant difference between the Han and Uighur depression in patients with serum Hcylevels in human serum Hcy levels in inter-ethnic differences.
