| Objective: To analyze the independent factors affecting theprognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GIST) patients undergoingradical operation.Methods: The clinical data of111Patients with GIST treated inGuangxi Medical University Affiliated Tumor Hospital of gastrointestinalsurgery from October2001to October2011were collected and wereretrospectively analyzed.Results: Univariate analysis revealed that the tumor size,mitoticcount,NIH risk classification, complete tumor resection and adjuvantpostoperative therapy with imatinib were related to the survival rates.Application of the COX regression model analysis showed that NIH riskclassification and adjuvant postoperative therapy with imatinib wereIndependent factors for the prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors.Conclusion: For GIST, NIH risk classification is effective toevaluate the prognosis and targeted therapy can improve survival. |
