Studies On Chemical Constituents,Pharmacological Effects And Determination Of Contents Of The Fruits Of Acanthopanax Gracilistylus

Acanthopanax gracilistylus W. W. Smith(AGS) belongs to Acanthopanax Miq. of Araliaceae and its dried root bark are listed officeally in the Chinese pharmacopoeia as Cortex Acanthopanacis(named as Wujiapi),which has been used as medicine for the treatment of rheumatic pain, osteomalacia, asthenia, rheumatism, pediatric line later and other symptoms in clinical. In order to make comprehensive development and utilization of resources, the chemical constituents, the pharmacological activities, the main ingredient contents and the fingerprint of the fruits of AGS were carried out a systematic research by our subject group.The chemical constituents of the fruits of AGS were carried out by a systematic research.Th chemical constituents were isolated and purified by silica gel column,ODS C-18chromatograph; and sephadex LH-20column chromatogram.9constituents were isolated from the fruits of AGS and the structures of them were elucidated on the basis of physic-chemical properties and spectra data.They are ent-16a-hydroxykauran-19-oic acid(1), palmitic acid(2), stigmasterol(3)3-epi-betulinic acid (4),acankoreoside D(5),acantrifoside A (6), daucosterol(7), chikusetsusaponii IVa methyl ester (8), chikusetsusaponin IVa butyl ester(9). Compounds8,9were obtained fron Acanthopanax Miq. for the first time. Others were obtained from the fruits of AGS for the firs time.The pharmacological activities of the fruits of AGS were carried out by a systematic research The pharmacology research methods of tonifying drugs were used and the resist stress research immune adjustment research, protect liver research and anti-aging research were used to maki preliminary evaluation for the pharmacological activities of the fruits of AGS. The research result showed that the fruits of AGS have the tonifying effects of resisting stress, immune adjusting protecting liver and anti-aging.The experiment has established an HPLC-ELSD method for the simultaneous determinatioi of the contents of chikusetsusaponin IVa (CHI) and3β-([O-β-D-glucopyranu-ronosyl]oxy) olean-12-ene-28-olc acid (GOE) in the fruits of AGS and has has established an fingerprin analysis method for the fruits of AGS. It aims to provide reference for the quality standard of th fruits of AGS.
