| Background: Bladder cancer is the most common urological tumorsin our country.And most of them are transitional cell carcinoma.Recently study show that FGFR3and MMP-9play an important role in oncogenesisã€growthã€invasionã€metastasisand angiogenesis in the bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC). FGFR3andMMP-9may be a important markers and potential therapeutic targets in BTCC.Objective: To investigate the expression of FGFR3and MMP-9in BTCC ofdifferent gradeã€stageã€primary and recurrentã€different age and gender. Furtherstudies on the expression of FGFR3and MMP-9in oncobologysignificance.Providing a theoretical basis for clinical work and new treatmentmethods.Materials and Methods:67case of BTCC samples are reexamined by pathology,include43male and female,aberage age is61.7(40-81). According to the TNM stageclassification of UICC and the grade classification of WHO.These samples could beclassified into41superficial turmors and26cases of invasive turmors,there are G1in24cases, G2in22cases and G3in21cases. Eleven specimen obtained from normalbladder were used as controls. The expression of FGFR3and MMP-9were detectedby immunohistochemestry,to analysis FGFR3and MMP-9in BTCC of thepathological features.Results:1. Normal bladder tissue did not express FGFR3,MMP-9was not expressed or traceexpression. The positive rate of FGFR3in the BTCC is56.7%(p<0.001).Expression of MMP-9was observed in59.7%of BTCC,There weresiginificant different in expression.2. Expression of FGFR3was found in70.7%in Ta~T1and34.6%in T2~T4.Approximately79.1%of G1,68.2%of G2and19.0%of G3.With increased tumor stage classification,the positive expression rate decreased (p<0.004,p<0.001).Expression of MMP-9was obserned in48.8%of Ta~T1and76.9%of T2~T4,and37.5%of G1,63.6%of G2and80.9%of G3.with the progress of tumors clinicalstage and grade,the positive rate of MMP-9expression increased(p=0.022,p=0.011).But there were no significant correlation between FGFR3andMMP-9expreession and recurrenceã€age and gender.3. There was a significance inverse correlation between the expression of FGFR3and MMP-9(r=-0.472,p<0.001).Conclusion:1. FGFR3and MMP-9in different stage and grade play an important role in theBTCC oncognesis〠growthã€invasion and metastasis.2. FGFR3and MMP-9involved in the development of BTCC of the differentprocesses and play a different role in tumors development.3. FGFR3and MMP-9can be used as a tumor marker of BTCC. Simultaneouslyanalysis two markers in tumors,can help determine the grade and stage,and guidethe clinical treatment. |
